Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says intensity will be key for Manchester United as they prepare for their final rehearsal ahead of the new Premier League campaign.
United take part in their final pre-season fixture when they host Premier League rivals Everton on Saturday lunchtime.
Solskjaer has named a strong line up for the final friendly outing with David de Gea, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw, Anthony Martial and Bruno Fernandes handed their first minutes of the off-season.
United view the match as an important dress rehearsal ahead of their opening league match against Leeds in a week’s time and Solskjaer want his players to prove why they should be involved in the competitive games.
“It is very (important),” he told MUTV.
“We lost the game to Preston under those circumstances which weren’t under our control. So it is important for them that they get the intensity of the game. But most of them played not long ago, so they should be ready.”

When asked what he wanted to see from his side in their final friendly outing Solskjaer reiterated a need for ‘intensity’ ahead of facing Marcelo Bielsa’s side.
He added: “You want to see good performances going into next week in good mood with good confidence, intensity today is important. We will make a few changes because we need to have people ready for next weekend.
“As we saw with Jesse (Lingard) he would have been a starter today definitely and he’s out so we need as many as possible.”
