Manchester United forward Facundo Pellistri has rejoined La Liga side Alaves on a season-long loan.
Pellistri, 20, joined United for £9million on deadline day last October and was loaned to Alaves in January.
The Uruguayan is still yet to make a competitive appearance for United but scored in the 2-1 friendly win at Derby County last month.
United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed after the game Pellistri was in line for a season-long loan and the winger did not travel with the squad to St Andrews for their pre-season training camp this week.
“I thought he was bright and he took his goal really well,” Solskjaer said at Derby. “Great first touch. Good pass by Shola [Shoretire] but great first touch with sets him up.
“It was a very good goal, the first touch set him up and he’s very good at dribbling so going past the goalkeeper wasn’t a problem. He was bright when he came on.
“I think he showed what he is because he’s a difficult player to play against. One against one he can go past people so very pleased with him.
“I can see a loan deal for him, there’s been loads of interest and for his best interests a loan would be what we look for.”
The United first-team squad still consists of a bloated 33 players.
